About Me
I was born in Oahu, Hawaii, and grew up in San Diego, California. My love of art started early. I spent much of my childhood creating alongside my mom and later helped her teach children's art classes throughout high school.
After graduating, I traveled through Europe on a shoestring budget, spending six months in Paris and visiting as many museums and galleries as I could. I also explored the art collections of Barcelona, Stuttgart, and London, experiences that shaped the way I think about design, storytelling, and visual communication.
In 2000, I accepted a full scholarship to Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia. Two years later, I transferred to The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts.
For the past 19 years, I've built a career as a designer, illustrator, and creative leader, partnering with organizations of all sizes to create thoughtful, engaging visual experiences across print, digital, branding, UX/UI, and marketing. I love solving complex problems through design and collaborating with talented people to bring ideas to life.
When I'm not designing, you'll usually find me browsing the library for art books and memoirs, sketching, exploring nature, or spending time with my son and our delightfully sassy cat, Gwen.
